A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to team up with the extremely talented and healthy Bec Gawthorne from Nourish Naturally.
We asked her ‘What are your tips on making the best smoothie”
Bec: ” Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new flavour combos! If you don’t like a certain ingredient in a smoothie recipe, take it out and swap it for one you love. Load your smoothies up with delicious goodness! Think chic seeds, fresh berries, flax seeds and leafy greens”.
We decided to make her favourite Tropical fruit Smoothie. This particular smoothie Bec has every morning for breakfast. It only takes 5 minutes to make. We loved it!
The ingredients are;
2 x Mangos – peeled and sliced
2 x Passionfruit’s
1 x Ripe banana – pre sliced and frozen
5 x tbs of natural greek style Yoghurt
2 x tbs of Chia Seeds
3 x cups milk of choice (we used Soy)
5 x ice-cubes
3 x tbs dedicated coconut to top
The method is:
Place all ingredients (except for the coconut) into a blender and blend together.
our into a glass and top with the coconut
